Mastercard Foundation
EdTech Fellowship

The Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship, managed by MEST Africa in Ghana, supports African EdTech startups with business resources and learning insights to boost their scalability and impact. It provides mentorship and funding to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in education, aiming to equip the next generation for success in a changing world.

UNICEF StartUp Lab

UNICEF StartUp Lab is an accelerator programme for impactful businesses working to advance the SDGs for children and young people. The programme is led by UNICEF in Ghana, supported by KOICA and implemented by MEST Africa.

GROW with Generation

The Ghana Remote and Online Work (GROW) program in Ghana is a joint project by Generation, the Mastercard Foundation, Soronko Academy, and MEST Africa. Focused primarily on young women, the main goal is to equip young people in Ghana with digital skills, and connect them to life- changing job opportunities in the technology space.

ABSA Technical Assistance Workshops

Workshops designed to empower informal businesses and SMEs to refine operations, improve performance, and adopt digital solutions tailored to their needs.

ABSA Hacks

A 3-day hackathon uniting technologists and creatives to build innovative fintech prototypes. A collaboration fostering fresh ideas and rapid experimentation.

Web 3.0 Skills Bootcamp

A 6-week bootcamp that introduced Ghanaian youth to blockchain fundamentals through real-world projects. Delivered in partnership with Mastercard Foundation.

Pre-MEST

Over 800 youth trained in Web Development and Digital Marketing across 6 regions in Ghana. 750+ secured dignified work; some advanced to MEST’s flagship program. 50% of participants were women.

MESTx Express

A practical accelerator for early and growth-stage Ghanaian startups. Included mentorship, business strategy, and equity-free funding. Run with Mastercard Foundation.

Inclusive Digital Commerce (IDC) Accelerator

Backed by Mastercard Foundation and BFA Global, this program supported ventures improving the digital livelihoods of micro and small enterprises.

Natural Resource Data Challenge

Train-the-Trainer workshops and entrepreneurial empowerment programs to build local capacity in resource data and tech.

MESTx Scale

A scale-up accelerator for later-stage tech companies and SMEs in Ghana. Supported strategic growth planning, operational optimization, and capital readiness.

DIGILOGIC

An EU-funded initiative connecting African and European startups and SMEs to co-create smart logistics solutions. Built around ecosystem collaboration and cross-border innovation.

Tech By Her

A Pan-African accelerator focused on strengthening female tech founders and building a network of women supporting women in entrepreneurship.

TechXport Accelerator

Powered by Basecamp and StartUp Namibia, this 3-month incubation program helped early-stage founders validate, launch, and grow their solutions.

Smart Cities Innovation Programme (SCIP)

A 6-month accelerator supporting startups focused on Smart Mobility, Urban Fintech, and Affordable Urban Living across Rwanda and Africa.

WeGrow Hackathon

Designed for high-potential fintech startups from Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, and Ivory Coast. Combined expert mentorship, expansion support, and investor pitch opportunities.

Pan-African Fintech Accelerator

A multi-country accelerator for scaling fintech solutions in East and West Africa. Included mentorship, business support, and a final investor pitch showcase.

SDGs Targeted
