Abu Okari | Monday, September 4th, 2017

Name: Ganiyu Adesina
Nickname: Dare
Hometown:  Auga-Akoko, Ondo State. But I am a Lagos boy now.

What motivated you to join MEST?

I was not fulfilled with what I was doing. I wanted to do more, and I felt MEST could be the place to help me do that. It is an opportunity to learn how to take risks and a great platform to be trained and acquire more skills so I can achieve my dream of being an exceptional entrepreneur.

What are some of your strengths?

I am good at thinking outside the box when it comes to finding solutions to challenges. I tackle situations rationally. I am good at managing businesses and relationships, and teaching.

What motivated you to become an entrepreneur?

I want to make meaningful impact in Nigeria and the world at large. I would like  to solve problems and achieve independence and financial success.

What are some of your secret skills?

I would say paying attention to details without people being aware. I also sing really well. I don’t know if singing is a skill, or whether it is a secret because I sing in church back home, but no one at MEST knows!

MEST EITs undergo a year long immersive and intensive  entrepreneurship training program. During their time at MEST, they form teams and build a tech company. For the final examination, teams pitch for seed funding and a chance to enter the MEST Incubator. Click here to learn how you can also become an EIT.
