Flippy Campus Shakes Hands With MEST Africa

Accra, Ghana. May 2nd, 2017 Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST), Africa’s premier startup school/incubator sent its first Flip post to its students and entrepreneurs using the Flippy Campus app last week!

In a bid to improve internal communications and transparency between administrative staff, teaching fellows and entrepreneurs-in-training (EITs), MEST has started using Flippy Campus – the social media platform for tertiary students and institutions across Ghana.

“MEST and Flippy Campus have recently partnered to enable better communication and transparency between the MEST administration and entrepreneurs. The affiliation with Flippy and MEST runs deep as Flippy is a company founded by MEST alumni. We couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve created and are privileged to be privy to their technology.” – says Todd Holcombe, Head of Faculty at MEST.

In the next few weeks Flippy Campus, which connects all members of an institution to their administrators, students, groups, departments and even market (i.e. students who buy and sell from each other) is set to launch a new upgrade to allow its registered schools and institutions send all types of media files and documents via the app.

This means that lecturers will be able to share videos of lectures, infographics, notes, images and even powerpoint presentations to their classes with the click of a button. They will also have the option of selling these materials on the Flippy marketplace.

“This is a partnership we have been cooking up for a while. We are thankful that it’s finally happening. Working with institutions with standards like MEST is  great endorsement for us; we hope that it provides value for them and we are able to get useful feedback to help us improve and achieve our goal of becoming the social media platform/ communication tool for universities across the continent.” – says Ammishaddai Ofori, CEO of  Flippy Campus.

Flippy is currently offering white labelled versions of its software as a service solution to private and public tertiary institutions across Africa. Interested schools and institutions can book a demo session with the team here or via the website www.flippycampus.com.

Flippy Campus is also free and available on the Android, iOS app stores and on the web.
